15 MONTHS

The first part of January... and my baby is already 15 months... still cant beleive how fast time has gone having a baby! He received three seperate shots this time around... again only making a very sad face and then after picking him up smiles and waves bye bye to the office nurse!!! Well here are his official stats....
Weight: 19 lbs exactly... still falling off the charts for this one.. Height: 31 inches. 20% Head:46.25 inches 25%! He is now learning to stand on one leg, push and carry very heavy objects, learning new vowels, knows animals sounds like dog, cow and lion. He continues to love to read books, sing songs, and play with his toys! He has discovered his new high pitch squeal in which he points to what he wants! He now knows many commands in korean...smart lil cookie! He continues to amaze us every day with his talents and abilities and still feel very blessed to be his parents!!

Keyan latest!

Just a quick update on Keyan..... He now officially has his first molar... broke through the middle of January which brings him to a total of 8 teeth... three on bottom, four on top and a molar in the back!!! He is now reading books to himself.... in his baby words and uses the high pitch accents.. like his mom does when she reads to him... sooo funny! He had his first haircut... I was so sad to cut all of his amazing curls off but suprisingly it is now curlier and lighter since cutting some of his darker curls of the bottom and now seems to be getting lighter on top... we will see what the summer has to bring with being outside and playing in the pool!! He is such a little helper now cleaning up his toys, bringing me a diaper and wipes, brings books for me to read to him and of course loves to gives "bopo" which is kiss in korean. He also seems to be understanding more in korean as his grandma and tyler speak and ask commands in korean! We attend music class once a week where he interacts with three other kids within 1 week of his age... and we will start swimming lessons next month!

First hair cut at this cute place called cookie cutters... got to save his first curls!!

First outing in the snow!!!

Christmas 2010

We were so excited to have christmas this year with Keyan as he was so cute with opening gifts on his birthday... we knew he would be such a cutie on Christmas. This year we spent christmas with Grandma Yi and our little family... it was a quiet yet nice holiday. We made ham and turkey this year and got to try grandma Yi homemade stuffing... really yummy! We also were able to start a tradition with Tyler and his mom as we did a gingerbread train... first time ever for them! We also had a stocking for Grandma Yi and that was a very first for her as well! Its kinda crazy that these simple holiday traditions which seem so simple to me but yet were so exciting to see them take part in them was so FUN! Here are a few pics from the holidays!

Thanksgiving in Reno 2010

This year we were able to make a trip to Reno  and have our entire family together minus Trents two kids... we had so much fun and we ate too much good food and played bingo and some other fun games... The next day tyler had to leave to san antonio tx for 2 weeks for military so I was able to stay and hang with my family. We also took advantage of some nice weather and took a trip up to Oregon to see Trent and Lorittas kids as they have not seen Keyan since he was born!! Here are a few snapshots of the fun times!

One year appt

So we had keyans one year appt right before his birthday... here are his stats: length 28 inches, 17.8 lbs and head circumfrence 45.5 inches.... He has slowed down on his weight gain partially due to all these ear infections he has had starting back in august! Although he doesnt act like he is sick and is still busy as ever. He is now walking everywhere... curious and getting into everything and sometimes wants to climb!! Oh yay for trying to "baby proof"... Keyan has basically figured out every safety item we have purchased so it really just slows him down!!! We keep a close eye on him at all times!! He is now saying many words and continues to give kisses, loves to pat your legs and arms, points and jabbers on  and on in baby language and at times when I say no... he starts off jabbering about something... i have a feeling he is telling me how it is... we will see what the future holds for this busy guy!! He continues to be the joy of our lives and blesses us with so much every day!!
At Dr Whiting office for 1 year checkup.... received his flu shot and last hep b!:(
Love this face!

Loves to play with my phone!

November~surgery for our precious boy!

Keyan has had ear infections for almost three months straight and had 3 months of antibiotics and diarrhea.... we had enough of that... so right after his first birthday we were off to see the ENT dr denys... that showed a temporary 25% hearing loss in both ears... he was very surprised by his vocabulary at that point with his ears being so plugged with fluid. We scheduled surgery for thursday november 11 on veterans day! I was nervous the morning of surgery and did great up until they walked him down the hall to surgery and at that point I lost all sense of being a nurse and cried:( My baby was having his first surgery at just barely a year old... but then 20 minutes later he was cuddled in my arms and woke right up like he never had surgery! He did awesome that day and even wanted to eat right away and from that day on we have had amazing nights with sleeping 12 hours through the night and including longer naps during the day from 2-3 hours! AMAZING!!!

Getting ready for surgery

He was so cute in the little gown... however I was totally freaking out about my baby having surgery!

Well here is an update on Keyan at one year!
